The Borough is of immense historical interest—it is the location of Southwark Cathedral and the site of one of the most notorious debtors’ prisons. The pub crawl starts at a lovely, traditional backstreet pub and the only tied house in London selling the choice cask-conditioned ales brewed by Harvey’s of Lewes, moving on to London’s only remaining galleried coaching inn, then one of London’s most renowned real-ale establishments adjacent to the the foodies' paradise, Borough Market, followed by a tiny pub selling a huge range of beers of the world. It finishes at a typical example of Fuller’s sterling work in converting banks into magnificent pubs.
